It is done...
I uploaded some pictures from the final of the Regionalliga Nord 2010. You could see them under Gallery and Finale RL-Nord 2010.

Training
Big wheels keep on turning!!
Training for the 2010-11 season has started in earnest.
From next week we shall revert to the normal rotation of Wednesday evenings at Barmwisch and Fridays at the Stadtpark.
Time is precious so please be as prompt as you can. 19:00 hrs is when training is supposed to start, it is not the meet time!!
We had a good season last year, finishing top of the league and just falling short in the Championship match against Jesterburg. We trained hard and built on the previous two seasons. This year the coaching team want to take the Exiles to the next level: building on our historic strength up front to deliver more quick ball for our backs. The second match against Pauli, in May, will be our bench mark for the coming season.
To improve on that will require commitment from everyone. Training is not an option. Please try and build the two sessions into your weekly plan. Fixtures will be published soon, and when there are, please put these into your diaries too. We have two new clubs in league and our old friends from Kiel have rejoined the Regional League after a season in the National League 2. To win against these teams we shall have to play hard and train harder.
Last year we started with ten minutes of circuit training at the end of each session. On Wednesday the starting point was eighteen. The sooner you start the less it will hurt!

after training already starts last week, now we could use the changing rooms again.
Training will take place this week at the Stadtpark so will meet at 19 hrs at Saarlandstraße pitch.

Saturday 29.05.2010 14 o'clock Barmwisch
For the first time the first and second team of the season have a final match. So we will play against Jesteburg again and have the chance to make the only loose this season forgotten.

The second leg and the decisive match of the season for the Hamburg Exiles. Would their defence hold out as last week, would the Exiles win to clinch the league title
or would the Exiles fade under pressure as they had the two previous seasons?

Match report: Hamburg Exiles RFC against St. Pauli, Wed 12 May 2010
In autumnal conditions the Exiles met for the first round of the double header against old rivals, St. Pauli.
Pauli kicked off, and in a presage of what was about to happen, Exiles conceded a penalty and within a minute Pauli had converted to give them a 3-0 lead.
The Exiles responded with verve and drive. Recycling the ball the Exiles pressured close to the Pauli line. Pauli clearances relieved the pressure only temporarily as the Exiles sought points. The line-out functionned well and the forwards drove to the line.

Match report Hamburg Exiles RFC against Bremen Union 60, Sunday 18 April.
The weather could not have been better for the large crowd of over one hundred that turned out to watch the second part of the Exiles - Union double header. Whilst perhaps too warm for the players. for the crowd it was nigh on perfect, and the anticipation amongst the Exiles squad and supporting players was just as high.
Injuries had forced a few changes to the Exiles 22, with Sean being replaced at scrum half by the redoubtable Colin and Neil Gilroy making his debut at 8 for the injured Danny B. Richard Jones made a welcome return to Exiles colours after his impressive debut in Braunschweig. The starting fifteen looked strong and there was plenty of pace and experience on the bench.

wednesdays trainingsessions

From next wednesday (21.04) on our training takes place on the new pitch "Barmwisch".
The adress is: Barmwisch 22, 22179 Hamburg
You can get there by train (U1 Trabrennbahn and 10 mins to go)
or with the Bus 118 to "Turnierstieg" which is mainly in front of the pitch.
